John Varvatos XX John Varvatos 2020

The XX runs a bit under the radar and, in my opinion, is not rated very well, although it is not that bad.
The blackcurrant comes through well in the sillage for a short time.
But it does have a better sillage than some noses perceive.
Even 4 hours later, my hairdresser found the scent extremely pleasant, even though I thought there was nothing left.
The floral notes come off a bit too synthetic, but somehow I like this synthetic freshness because it is indeed quite fresh.
In the base, sandalwood predominates, which makes the scent somewhat
run-of-the-mill. But that's not too bad.
The bottle is just John Varvatos. But if you take away that cheap tag XX John Varvatos, it actually looks nice. Great cap,
beautiful dark black.
For me, it is a good all-round scent that becomes
unnoticeable to oneself after a short time in the top notes, but is much more noticeable to others.
Well, they should be nearby. A scent with no great reach. But a fragrance doesn’t always have to reach or even impress others just because it has a strong sillage.
No, a scent can stand on its own. And therefore, it is a very pleasant companion for everything, except for clubbing, where you would have to use way too many sprays. Hehehe. But then it would get stinky.
As a fun scent, spraying a whole group with it, why not.
The scent somehow lifts the mood and creates an atmosphere.
