My Departure from Le Male and Boss Bottled

After not giving much importance to perfume for a long time and always wearing crowd-pleasers like Boss Bottled and Le Male (I quickly noticed the consensus of the Parfumo community regarding these scents ;), I felt the urge for something different. It just had to be DIFFERENT from what I constantly smelled. As I read through the forum and reviews, a whole new world opened up to me. There are so many fragrance notes that I can't even distinguish yet! Moreover, it became increasingly tempting not only to smell special but to find a scent that supports how one identifies as a person.

Encre Noire smells to me like a damp coniferous forest and even more like tree resin than wood. It is not too harsh or heavy, with just enough freshness to round off the coniferous forest impression. Some reviews emphasize the serious character of this fragrance too strongly in my opinion. Yes, it is serious, but not funeral-serious, rather autumn-forest-walk-alone-serious.

When I smell it, a wonderful clarity settles in my mind. For me, the scent is not a serious thinker, but a breath of fresh air in a damp autumn forest where a cool wind blows.
