This scent’s so new
it has no basis in experience,
no relation to you yet,
only to me,
to my skin
where it smolders
like cinders in a hookah,
intoxicating me
with each breath,
inviting me
into another addiction
of the sort
that is the truth of you,
of us.
Will it speak to you
softly,
in your own tongue,
as it speaks to me?
Will it evoke in you
the touch of my mouth
on your throat,
as it reminds me
of yours on mine?
It takes my breath away,
As you do,too.
And so,
When you learn its secrets,
Will you feel the same,
I wonder,
willing it to ravish you,
and leave you longing,
waiting,
wanting.
