Do you know what you smell when you take the cap off a (used) bottle? - Exactly, the base!
With ADPC, this bottle sniffing gives a good preview of what it will smell like half an hour after spraying. And that is the fragrance experience of a fine hand cream!
This creaminess, in my opinion, is caused by iris and musk. For a summery cologne, this is a lovely innovation. I would enjoy smelling this on a lady on a warm summer evening. Just not necessarily on myself, as I don't want to smell intensely like hand cream.
Upon spraying, this creamy impression is already present in the background. It is overshadowed by the cologne-like freshness. Interestingly, unlike Eau de Cologne, there is no (potentially cardboard-like) neroli used here. Another difference is that, firstly, greenery and, secondly, ginger make the scent more complex and substantial. Thus, the first half hour after spraying is characterized by a citrus-fresh, herbaceous-green, ginger-tinged, and creamy scent impression.
This is a welcome reinterpretation or development of the cologne theme. I enjoy it conceptually and on a test strip. However, to truly embrace the scent for its intended purpose, namely to wear it at least occasionally, one should like the creamy iris-musk base.
The hand cream base is too sweet and too greasy for me - simply not my thing. Just as I also don't like a musk-tonka bean base (like in Tasmeem Men). But that's just my taste. Those who enjoy such things will experience a great combination of this creaminess with a green-gingery cologne with ADPC. And that for a small price (currently around 30 euros).
So far, only men own this cologne at Parfumo. This surprises me; I would have guessed two-thirds female ownership. Probably this scent is simply not yet known among women. Or they already have good hand creams...
Mmm, hand cream sounds interesting... I'll add it to the list. I like the pyramid, but when it's mostly men who wear it, I always think, okay, it has that aftershave vibe, it probably won't work on me...
I think the list is a good choice. Don't worry, this scent doesn't remind me of aftershave at all. Just of Eau de Cologne. But it's much softer, more elegant, and sweeter. For me, it's a fragrance aimed at women. - Let's see what other owners of this scent think.
