La nuit bleu electrique is the closest scent to the vintage version of the la nuit. La nuit EDT’s current formulation still smells heavenly, but it’s performance is such a disappointment. La nuit bleu electrique smells heavenly and it has acceptable performance. Fragrance opens with bergamot, cardamom and ginger. Opening of bleu electrique is a blue interpretation of og la nuit, more versatile and fresh. In the middle notes we see geranium that adds a floral depth and classic strong lavender of the la nuit line. In the base, cedar and vetiver adds a earthy, woody smell to the fragrance. The fragrance is pretty much more floral and powdery version of the Og la nuit. It’s a sweet scent and it was synthetic before maceration, but after maceration the synthetic smell is gone. I own about 50 fragrance including 6 niche ones (Green Irish Tweed, Oajan, Naxos, Layton Exclusif, Greenley and Torino 21) but this fragrance is my favorite one, I lost my virginity with this fragrance. This is all I should say about the smell. Suitable for Winter, Fall and Spring full-time, I also use this in summer but it might be over-sweet/cloying in extreme heat (+35 Celcius). Performance is above average. I get about 6-7 hours of longevity in summer and 8+ hours of longevity in winter. Projection is much better in high heat, but still enough for cold weather. It has a limited availability since it’s discontinued, I manage to find one from a prestigious store in Turkey, a 100ml bottle was about 73 Dollars in discount. Imo totally worth it, I regret that I didn’t buy a second bottle. If you would want a more versatile and better performing La nuit, would %100 recommend.
