A dance between masculine fragility and feminine dominance
This fragrances was a whole journey. It is such a beautiful artistic creation that sometimes to me it becomes more than just a perfume. While the concept seems to be to symbolize a play between masculine fragility and feminine dominance, the fragrance plays on that contrast in a quite interesting way. It opens up with an dry, gunpowder note, almost ashy, sharp, metallic but quickly softens up by the soft, iris, rose heart behind it. These notes work so beautiful to contrast and balance each other out, just like men and women work in real life with each other. Two opposites that complement each other. The contrast in this fragrance is strong too, but even if the opening is dry, sharp, unwearable by itself, the soft, elegant powdery heart fixes that and makes it a whole experience. A soft, powdery, but full and substantial iris, supported by a beautiful, quiet and almost sweet rose, gives it that DHP feel to it. Not that these fragrances are similar, but it kind of reminds of the iris in DHP. As the fragrance dries down, it becomes sweeter, softer. It is very wearable and the journey from that rough opening, to that soft, sweet drydown is just beautiful. Perfectly unisex, a beautiful night out wear if you want to stand out and turn heads. Performance is a beast too, it projects very nicely, leaves a nice trail of sophistication as you pass by. This is one of the most interesting fragrances i have recently found and as a fan of iris and Antoine Lie, this is just my cup of tea.
