Whenever the opportunity arises (and I’ve heard it will ;) I would love to hear about this journey. The scent sounds fascinating. My knowledge of oud is still in its infancy.
This is a rather atypical Oud from Laos. Fortunately, it has nothing to do with the moldy standard of the Laotian Oud industry and isn't bitter or medicinal either. I don't understand why it's categorized as "smoky-animalic" here on Parfumo. To me, it's neither of those.
Laos Oud is a high-quality, moderately complex, carefully distilled and aged plantation Oud with excellent value for money.
I wish I had found such an oil in Laos already. But you don't just stumble upon something like this; you have to search for it. Even when bought later, Laos Oud is a wonderful reminder of the best trip of my life!
