... I would say the most predatorial scent i smelled is "_but not today_ | Filippo Sorcinelli" but idk if it's exactly what you intended.

Snow/Icy scent recommendation?
Aureliaa
|
Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
... A icy floral i found truly cold and snowy is "Crow Moon | Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab" Another one could be "Loon | Hima Jomo" it has a snowy feel but it's not it's main focus. I havent tried it but "Jöklalykt | Fischersund" seams icy Also "Rigor Mortis | Maqueda" is really cold but less in an icy/snowy way and probably closer to a refrigerator

... I love this tread, i'm picky with my fragrance, as many others here, so most really sweet, hyper gourmand fragrances make me gag most times, but there are some that are worst that others that would haunt my nose for the whole day. Fat electrician for sure i love a nice story but this was vile to me Dawn Whispers was the worst of all, harsh ozone and milk, ew , it smelled rotten Lignum Vitae too, the sweet and savory just did not work here for me

... Dellamorte "Winchester Mystery House | Hexennacht" could work for you, "The Exorcist | Hexennacht" as well, "Moth Milk | Ghoulish Goods" had a bit of the vibe, "Dustsceawung | Alkemia" definitely nails that. I have few others in mind, but those are most "what if a ghost was living in your house and you could feel it", the ones I suggested are more dusty-old house! Sound amazing already <3 Im totally into ghost fragrances i would love to hear your picks

... I have always loved a dust/ash note, and i really like the idea of smelling haunted or ancient. I'm talking old haunted house, an attic no one has entered in a long time, the empty corridors of a mansion or wherever your imagination takes you. I know it'll be a suggestion and i have tried Moth but unfortunately all tho i loved the sent the honey was just to heavy and sweet for me :( I have L'orpheline that slightly resembles dust but i would lovee any suggestions

Cold Milk

Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
... i to do recommend dent de lait as it's one of my favorites, but i wouldn't describe it as straight up milk, it's more of a cold almond creaminess A great milk is Leramoon it's cold and slight green but really good and comforting in my opinion Maybe even The ghost in the shell it's not the milkiest perfume you can smell but it's cold and futuristic. I would not recommend Dawn Whispers as i thought too it would be amazing seeing the notes but the ozone overpowered anything else on me, and it resembled spoiled milk more than anything if you'd like to check it out i have made a list of weird milky perfumes on my profile https://www.parfumo.com/Users/...

... My favorite musk based fragrance ever is L'orpheline , i wouldn't describe it as warm, but it's not frigid either, I think its a perfect clean skin sent with an edgier side. Angel dust could be a good option for musk, it's peppery, slightly creamy and woody. Another one could be L'Eau Papier , that is musky and powdery in a rice/paper way From the same brand there is also Fleur de Peau , that isn't solely musky but it's also floral but i think it has a really nice base of musk and it's pretty comfy And Mure et musc it's a sweeter fruitier musk. Hope this help's <3

... You could do a hanging display cabinet, i personally love vintage ones with the curved glass and all detailed, and maybe you could thing to add a hinge or a kind of locking system if your cats are true burglars :) If your collection is big enough and have the space, you could think about a full cabinet, they are easier to find and can be in more styles I think the glass might help a small bit with the sun exposure but personally i haven't had any problems so far with fragrances changing, since i go though them quickly.

... valhelsingv You already have a very good list! I would also recommend Arcana Wildcraft Cloistered , Wolf Brothers Goat , Pictura Le Réveil (just a heads-up, Pictura uses (or used to use) AI in the ads, but they don't use it for their scents or bottles, as far as I know) - the first two are not sweet at all, they are animalic milks, Cloistered smells very medieval 😀; the last one is really weird because it is sweet but also furry like a goat Thanks so much, i truly appreciate it, i'll for sure try to get my nose on them🖤

... I have an obsession with weird, unsweetened milk fragrances, the weirder, more disturbing i can find the happier i am, is this the result of some unsolved mommy issues? Maybe, who know's, all i know is that i have compiled a list of fragrances I'd like to try and i'm looking for suggestions <3 Some i have already tried and some I'm looking forward to, keep in mind I'm actually not a fan of gourmands or super sweet scents, i love something cold or i can get past the sweetness if i like the concept I have tried Dent de Lait and it's one of my faves, it almost a clean girl sent with a cyber twist The ghost in the shell is also one i have really enjoyed and it's how i have started my niche perfume journey Mother's Milk I'm really intrigued by, it's, as the name intakes, supposed to smell like your first milk, with an animalic almost saliva like note RED+MA i think i would really like Dawn Whispers And Basilica i have just ordered sample of and they are arriving soon, im so exited Jon and Martin would probably be an interesting gourmand First Milk has been described as a new born baby smell, and since i don't think i'll have the occasion to smell a real one i am totally fine letting this one suffice. Soul Tattoo i have seen that has a milk note even tho it's not prevalent, i still find interesting Hot Milk i probably wouldn't enjoy, but would try just for fun Cow as an honorable mention :)

Should AI be used in perfumery?
Aureliaa
|
Perfume Discussions
... PerfumedPers I think it already is being actively used to make perfumes. Two of the ingredient houses are already using AI to analyze all of their formulas and find patterns and then aid the perfumer in optimizing the fragrance. I know, there are already full on brands based solely on AI formulations, like Osmo or Every Human, a lot of other main stream houses are using it as a base for they're formulas too. I know there are other people behind it but i ask myself, why? Can AI create a feeling, can it tell a story, can it make a cultural reference or remind you of a place you don't remember being at, a niche anecdote or memory, most of all can it make mistakes? Show character in the imperfections, find unexpected combinations, feel human in all our contradictions. And how far will the AI formulations be used? Maybe a lot of brands are already using it whit out disclosing it. Will we be able to discern trash from treasure or will it become so common that the standard what makes a good fragrance will fall?

Should AI be used in perfumery?

Perfume Discussions
... I have seen a surge of AI use in imagery, marketing and even used in formulations of some perfumes in the last year, both in big houses and in niche or indie perfumery, I honestly find it kind of dystopian but i guess we have already crossed that point. Some are subtler than others, like in marketing the way some fragrances have been described feels kind of repetitive, always the same catch frase's, the overly long description of a scent instead of a pyramid, to upright AI sloop as imaging for a campaign or even to the bottle it-self. Im feeling kind of frustrated, like a lot of space in all kinds of artistic aspect has been taken over by artificial and empty content. Of course it's not all bad i am ranting a bit, but i wanted to know if anyone else noticed this trend and is feeling the same way I am, or another prospective all-toughener.

... Yess, it totally happens to me too with some fragrances i have worn a lot, I either cant smell them or i perceive them differently, like the perfume changed. Most of all i think I'm noseblind to some specific notes or perceive them very differently, like ambergris, i could never pin point the smell of it, i cant smell the marine or salty aspects some people talk about. Gourmands too, all smell the same to me, i get a visceral reaction every time i smell them.
