Interesting Facts
Amburana cearensis is a tree species native to Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and north-western Argentina. Its wood naturally contains coumarin, which gives it a distinctive scent of vanilla, cinnamon and sweet spices; for this reason, it is particularly popular in Brazil as a distillation cask for cachaça, rum, whisky and liqueurs.
