Interesting Facts
Fumitory (bot. Fumaria) is a genus of plants within the poppy family. The name is derived from the Latin ‘fumus terrae’, which means ‘smoke of the earth’ and refers to the fact that burning the herb produces a pungent, smoky odour. When fresh, the plant has very little scent of its own.
