Interesting Facts
Motherwort (bot. Leonurus cardiaca) is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Lamiaceae family, found from Europe to Central Asia. The herb has a strong, herbaceous scent, often described as unpleasant. Its name derives from the fact that it was used as a medicinal herb to treat heart complaints, improving cheerfulness, and "settling the wombs of mothers".
