Sohan

Sohan is a traditional saffron brittle toffee from Iran. Its ingredients include wheat sprouts, flour, egg yolk, rose water, sugar, butter or vegetable oil, saffron, cardamom, and almond and pistachio pieces.

Sohan originally comes from Qom in Iran. There are now several variations, e.g. combined with honey or halva, which are also popular outside Iran.
