Resin & Wood with "Smoky Depth"
My nose and my spirit are delighted! A "real" smoky scent gently makes its way between "heaven and earth".
Anyone expecting a brutal "smoker" with pitch-black smoke will have to look for another fragrance ;-))
For this beautiful scent, largely based on natural ingredients, has the rare talent of being very deep and powerful without adorning itself with heavy embellishments.
The essence, the wonderful incense impression, the "earthy" patchouli, the "heavenly" amber, and the warm-green cedar come first. A very delicate floral hint, especially fresh, slightly "minty" rose, provides a pleasant surprise moment as it occasionally peeks out from among its much "darker" fragrance companions.
This makes Elemi & Ambre Noir a very rich resin & wood scent, yet devoid of any oppressive qualities. The impression is that of a natural forest, both with clearings and with thickets and underbrush. Deep inhalation and beautiful scent experiences.
I can recognize a certain similarity to La Fumée Arabie, though it is somewhat darker, stronger, and above all less sweet! Therefore: the better smoker! At least for my olfactory organ!!

Frankincense is more in the background for me, definitely not as intense as in Ambre Fétiche. But I definitely like both a lot!

Yes, a very fine scent. And a great sibling to Myrrh/Frankincense. It gets even better. Best, C.
