Absolute Mahogony Spirits smells truley AMAZING! Starts off citrusy, but wo any sharpness/astringent and quite woody. Thus scent IMMEDIATELY reminded me of the long forgotten and now discontinued "Cult favotite" Hanae Mori's- HiM (edp).
Absolute Mahogony Spirits again, starts off citrusy, very woody and with a soft/spicey/creamy aspect which Im sure is coming from the (Tahitian Vanilla) which is not over-done and hardly percievable as "Vanilla", so if anyone reading this dislikes "Vanilla fragrances", dont let that turn ya off on this great scent!
AMD is very unique amongst todays offerings. The Performance/Longevity is now fantastic (7 to 8 hours on skin/couple days on fabrics) BUUUT, Maturation is most definately a very necessary evil for the performance to reach its peak here.
When I initially recievwd AMS, it smells amazing, with good sillage, but the top notes would fade within an hour or so, then the fragrance would get very close to the skin with minimal projection and the scent would last maybe 4 to 5 hours on my skin, and it wouldnt be a whole lot better on clothes. It took this scent a long time to FINALLY mature enough to where it how has very-good performance and the opening notes now li ger throughout the entire wear, but MAAN! The wait is very much worth it! (NOW) I give Absolute Mahogony Spirits a solid 8.5 outta 10! Unisex leaning Masculine, but I feel this would be very nice on a woman. Versitle too! CHEERS!
