A Cucumber!
The name sounds more full-bodied than any Kölsch ever could... And behind these lagoons from Laos lies not much more than a... peeled cucumber?!
"Refreshing Lagoons of Laos" is a very watery, minimally sparkling summer cocktail perfume with thoughts of vodka, sparkling water, and tonic. Some green-fruity vitamins and even vegetables. But never too off-putting or "healthy." Not a bad 4711, certainly not. But for me, it's also not a scent I want to sniff too often or be identified with. "Nautica Voyage" vibes - which isn't a bad thing. Perhaps even a bit less synthetic. A bit blunt, a bit transparent, a bit passionless. Harmless. Light and easy. Has something, has nothing. I waver around this violet vine... Maybe it's missing a bit of exoticism, eroticism, and esprit. But you don't always need that. I imagine something different under Laos. This is more like a Roman fountain in Cologne-Mülheim.
Bottle: these 4711s are really much more beautiful and high-quality than they have any right to be!
Sillage: delicate, sparkling, cocktail-like
Longevity: 3-4 hours, after that it becomes even more watery, thinner, and alcohol-free...
Conclusion: a cucumber-green freshie with more bitterness than one might expect given its accessibility... Does that make sense?! Just shy of good.

Certainly not the big wide world, but with 4711, you can't say you didn't give it a shot...
