Yuzu & Cedarwood 4711 2024

I spent a few days in Cologne and of course visited the 4711 store, where I sprayed just about every fragrance once.

In doing so, I made the quintessential beginner's mistake. I had several scents in my nose, then tested the "Yuzu & Cedarwood | 4711," liked it immediately, and bought it.

Actually, I should have applied it and left the store to get a realistic impression of the scent, but my impulsive buying brain had other plans.
So I switched off my mind and bought it right away.

At least it wasn't a huge financial loss, but I still get annoyed about such impulse buys. So here's your reminder: don't buy too spontaneously and take fragrances for at least one walk outside the perfumery before you purchase them.

Now about the scent:

In the store, I found the scent really nice, zesty, and refreshing.
In the hotel, I then first noticed the intense synthetic note. Unfortunately, it is not refreshing at all, but smells as if a citrus fruit has fermented in the sun on a wooden board.

I tried for a few days to convince myself that it was nice, but unfortunately, it really isn't a pleasant scent.

The basic idea of the fragrance is not bad at all, but the execution unfortunately is.
