Cheerful-Spicy Blue
Quietly yet powerfully, something sneaks around my nose. It finds its way into the olfactory bulb and signals to the brain. The olfactory analysis happens in no time. In plain language, it reads: "Herbaceous - spicy - delicately fruity, subtly sweet, and blue."
For the main share of the fragrance notes consists of two of my "favorites," lavender and rosemary. Together, they create something truly exquisite. Combined with cardamom and pepper, it becomes a rather sophisticated affair!
A delicate fruity-fresh veil lays over it, beneath which warm woods await. The overall impression captivates me with a casual-elegant cheerfulness without unnecessary frills. While "the wheel may not have been reinvented," the execution of this theme is particularly well done in my opinion.
With an emphasis on a few "main actors," it neither becomes too "loud" nor overly extravagant, nor dull or boring. Everything comes together beautifully with small edges and corners, without which this blue "herb" would hardly manage. The "instinct" of my rather spoiled nose has once again led me down a good path!

profillos, ok, low longevity
I actually find the scent quite well done, especially the opening, which I like a lot. However, afterwards the fragrance becomes very insignificant and doesn't last very long. The scent is never intrusive or heavy, which I appreciate. I wouldn't buy this fragrance again, but I think if you want to make someone you don't know very well happy, it could be a nice gift.

I'm surprised by the negative statements from many here...
First Instinct Blue men is not a perfume that completely blows you away with a unique scent and nuances, but it is a great fragrance that doesn't smell too overpowering. The scent very much reminds me of the sea and provides, in my opinion, wonderful aquatic notes and a pleasant freshness. However, one must admit that it smells somewhat like a typical shower gel, just in a nicer way. Also, I think it is quite individual since nowadays almost everyone walks around with an overpoweringly strong musk scent. Overall, I find it good, especially in terms of price/performance, but it does not excite or fascinate.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth...
I received the perfume as a gift and was initially a bit skeptical when I read the first comments here on Parfumo. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth... but still, given my preference for Amouage perfumes, the bar is set high.
Well, I thought, let's give it a try, I'll go dancing and see what my dance partner thinks. My first impression: sweet, not unpleasant, positively surprised contrary to what I had thought based on the existing comments. However, it doesn't come close to the quality of Amouage, that's for sure.

I'll skip a flowery description of the components, that's not my strength... I can pick out components, but what they actually are, my nose isn't sensitive enough, although it is sensitive when it comes to scent or smell.

Let's see... then I went to pick up my dance partner... She at the door: mhh... you smell nice, what is that? Okay, the sillage can't be bad either, I only applied 2-3 sprays.
I was quite surprised, to be honest, and told her that it's a new perfume I'm testing. As the evening went on, I was indeed surprised by the longevity of this perfume, or rather, the 5-6 hours of longevity proved to be longer on my skin than I thought or expected.

Long story short: The perfume is not unpleasant, for me it's a summer perfume, somewhat lightly aquatic. I will use up the bottle because I don't find the liquid bad, but I certainly won't be buying a refill.

Unfortunately has nothing to do with the original First Instinct, reminds me very much of Versace Dylan Blue. Nice, but not impressive.

Nothing special but it's definitely good. Average blue showergel scent with okay performance. Very affordable.

If you can get it for cheap like I did ($18.85) it's a great value. Better off with something like Dylan Blue if your spending much more.

Powdery, spicy, easy to wear cheapy. Spray up…nobody will get hurt. I picked my bottle at a discount store and I’ve been enjoying its essence

Reminds me of Versace Dylan Blue. Only for shower gel scent lovers. A bit trivial. Hopefully, the Extreme flanker will be more interesting.

Delicate powdery blue fades over lavender and rosemary fields. Woody notes drift into the spicy evening air before night falls - GOOD!

Could be a little brother of the big Fierce, but leans more towards Ambrox shower gel. Overall quite nice, but longevity is poor.

Lavender is okay, tonka bean is okay. Then there's apple, intriguing or a flop. The name first instinct blue man is just 1987 marketing.

My first scent, the fruity-spicy smell is initially convincing, but it fades quickly - point H/S is unfortunately mediocre.
