The Brook

An exciting and fascinating scent. "Volubilis" is like a moist riverbank, murmuring and gurgling in the shade of densely leafed trees, bubbling over stones, surrounded by fresh mint and sharp watercress, buttercups, bitter umbellifers, and damp mosses. A pungent dark green, bitter fragrance, indeed.
"Volubilis" roughly means: Unstable, restless. Like a lively brook, which still has a calming and meditative effect on us.

This reminds me of the aria from the opera: "The Pilgrims to Mecca":

A brook that flows and pours,
soft as a zephyr rustles,
eavesdrops on nymphs,
that winds and directs,
waters flowers and meadows,
gives refreshment to people,
sinks into valleys,
nature promised him
that he would never stagnate.
Because he lures the shepherds of this pasture
with his gentle sound
to sweet sleep;
Murmur brook your gla, gle, gli, glo, glu,
even an Amor sighs not more tenderly than you.

All of this is wonderfully olfactorily represented in Volubilis through a slight exaggeration of the harsh, herbal, and bitter notes.
"Volubilis" is not a heavy scent, but subtle, calm, and reserved.
In my opinion, it is definitely also a fragrance for men, even for those who only like harsh, herbal, and citrus scents.

Dunkelgrüner Duft mit Minze...Moos und Bachufer...das klingt super...

Klingt interessant, besonders das Bittere.
Wobei die Opernarie eher etwas merkwürdige Vorstellung vom trockenen Mekka aufweist;)
