Alqalb Albarid - The Cold Heart
The heartbeat of the desert is different at night. Everything is different when night falls. The sky transforms from red-gold to blue-black. The night sky spreads out like a dead djinn, who has lost its long life and is dying, settling into the sand and dunes for its final rest. In the moonlight, the sand seems to be made of ice. The quartz in the sand begins to sparkle like ice crystals. The sweat on my skin becomes cool and dry from the breezes and winds that sweep through the shady dunes.
