Gelsomino Assoluto Acqua del Garda 2017

Happy testing continues with the sample set. First, a look at the local entry regarding the original bottle (I only have a plain sample lying around).. white and simple, yeah that could work. The pyramid is actually my thing if it weren't for the vanilla in the base... whatever, onto the skin.

First impression: oh wow! More robust than expected, almost green-herbaceous (where is that coming from? Did I pick the right sample? Wrong label?) and not much to see of the southern fruits.

I like it...
... Exactly for 10 minutes...
... because then the heart bomb comes...

Rosy-floral sweetness mixed with vanilla and a touch of creaminess. Miss Dior and Co send their regards. Very sweet, very feminine and not at all my thing.
It stays that way with surprising longevity, and nothing in the base helps.

I gave you a chance and you confirmed my aversion to vanilla. You can certainly find your fanbase. Unfortunately, I don't belong to it.
