On the Riviera dei Limoni (the Citrus Coast) of Lake Garda, citrus fruits are still cultivated in orange groves (it. limonaia), although not as much as in the past.

In the forests around Lake Garda, cedars grow. The forests are interrupted by vineyards where grapes are grown to produce Bardolino wine. Due to the proximity of the lake, a Mediterranean climate prevails, mild in winter, hot and dry in summer.

On the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before the start of Lent, the services of the "Triduum Sacrum" have been celebrated in Pieve on Lake Garda since the 18th century. A special event where not only vast amounts of incense are burned. A "Macchina del Triduo," a magnificently decorated candle holder made of painted wood with 365 candles for each day of the year, is set up in the church. Finally, the candles are lit. The light fills the altar area and the faithful sing songs inspired by folk melodies.

All of this is very well represented by Itinerario Olfattivo I. The citrus top note quickly gives way to the incense. The incense is very intense, and the cedars are also beautifully present. And grape seed adds green highlights. The incense in Itinerario Olfattivo I is not sweaty but dry. Therefore, this perfume also works in the unfortunately not dry heat of the dreadful summer of 2018.

Itinerario Olfattivo I also smells good on women, at least on older women, which I was able to prove today. The longevity is good, and the projection is okay. I will wear it for going out, daily, in the evening, at work, and in my leisure time, but of course not for sports. Because sports are... yes, exactly.

The box is very pretty, classically designed. With a dragonfly pattern. It is much larger than the bottle. The bottle is also classically functional. A curved line. It fits well in the hand. The plastic cap comes off a bit stiffly and clicks into place when you put it back on.
