A Must for Fig Fans!

I really like fig in fragrances. For traveling, I love (among other places) Northern Italy. So when I stumbled upon Acqua del Garda Itinerario Olfattivo II, two special preferences were covered at once. Two reasons for a blind purchase, because Acqua del Garda is only available locally in Northern Italy or online on their website.
I do not regret the blind purchase: Itinerario Olfattivo II primarily delivers a green, creamy-balsamic fig. Primarily, but not only, rather a very varied fig. Rarely have I been able to perceive the listed notes in order as precisely as here: The fig starts off distinctly fresh with lemon and bergamot, later it becomes softer, a little sweetened by the rose. Light resinous hints from myrrh are also clearly identifiable. And in the end, a bit of wood and vanilla sweetness come into play. And above all, always this wonderful fig, a dream!

Despite all the variety and development, the scent progression is very organic, never abrupt; here we see great quality! The longevity is indeed quite good, and the sillage is decent but not overpowering.

Since I just got Itinerario Olfattivo II, I have also worn it in these tropical temperatures. It works great, but I suspect it belongs primarily in spring and autumn. It suits both men and women equally well.

At first, I wanted to title my comment “Fantastic for Fig Fans!” But then the alliteration seemed too flat to me, so here is my headline once again as a final summary:
A Must for Fig Fans (is Itinerario Olfattivo II)!

CajunMoon, I find that very interesting. For me, the olive - which I didn't mention in my comment - hardly plays a role. It's amazing how differently scents can develop or be perceived!

Beautiful comment, thank you!
I find the olive here to be very dominant. For me, it plays the second lead role alongside the fig. Sometimes I find that really exciting (I haven't encountered this pairing in any other fragrance), but there are also days when the olive bothers me a bit, as it pulls down the otherwise airy-light scent a bit too much for my taste. On the other hand, it might be too generic and shallow without it. Quite possible.
Fig trophy :)

I'm a fig and Italy fan :-) ! Great comment, the fig is going straight on my wishlist. On my last vacation, I tested two from the brand, but unfortunately, they didn't have this one there...
