First of all: The Adopt fragrances are all super affordable and you can't expect anything groundbreaking for the price. BUT:
If you're willing to reapply more often, you can definitely try out one or another scent. Most perfumes come with entire care lines, and you can buy the matching body oil and shower gel to go with the fragrance. That way, the scent will surely last longer (but I haven't tested that).
That's how I ended up with Adopt. I made a huge blind buy directly on the website and tried out everything. The descriptions online are very accurate, and you can really imagine how the scent smells. I think that's great.
Now to the fragrance: Warm sand on vacation, lying by the salty sea in the evening, sipping a fruity cocktail... that's what it embodies for me.
Somehow sandy-warm, a warmed stone, and salty underneath. Here and there, a zesty fruit peeks out, all on a warm summer evening.
It is definitely on the sweeter side, but not at all cloying; rather well-balanced.
I find it to be one of the most interesting from the brand, as it feels less childish and more mature and somewhat serious.
I'm almost out of my little bottle. Will I repurchase it? Probably not. Was it still nice? Definitely.
