Smells 3D?

The intensity of this fragrance is like nothing I've ever experienced. There is a sweet rose smell that is instantly enveloped by a slightly sickening blood note. The "sharp objects accord" is apt as the metallic influence looms behind - even after the dry down. It never comes to the forefront - and here is where I understood how some people could describe certain perfumes as smelling "3D."
The Africa stone used in this fragrance gives it a very primal base, and after a few hours, it is strong against my skin. I am enveloped by a warm and sweaty musk. There is an image of a blooming flower, opening up to a pool of blood and instantly cut with sweaty shears. I let a few of my friends smell it, and their reactions ranged from absolute disgust to amusement.
Storytelling in a bottle. The craft behind this perfume truly shows - and is executed exactly as described. While the scent is unnerving - it is not bad in the slightest. Absolutely incredible sillage, and longevity. After 8 hours the scent was still strong. I'd like to try layering this with some other perfumes to see how it plays with others.
