Cacao Aftelier

Oh man, this is delicious! If I don't hold myself back, I might just drink this sample one day!

Cacao simply smells wonderful like hot orange cocoa with a generous splash of rum, which, however, disappears after a while.

The natural orange note is much more dominant than the name might suggest. In fact, I would primarily describe Cacao as a fruity orange perfume that has a distinct gourmand touch.

I don't perceive the chocolate as dark, full, and strong, but rather more like chocolate milk, and therefore it takes a back seat for me, giving the perfume a slightly oriental feeling that orange and jasmine alone probably wouldn't have created.

By the way, the jasmine also comes through nicely, but it smells different from artificial jasmine notes. I often find the latter unpleasant, which surprised me a lot because I own a mini bottle of natural jasmine oil, and that smells wonderfully soft. And so it is here in this Aftelier scent as well.

All in all, Cacao is a simply crafted perfume that, despite its simplicity, smells so comforting and cheerful and just beautiful. And somehow, it carries a hint of a memory of carefree childhood days...
