I would have bet my mother that this perfume contains rose "en masse"! And then? Nothing at all! But let's start from the beginning.
The top note smells like a beautiful espalier rose on my skin, and I don't mean some artificial scent, but a real rose!
Gradually, the fragrance becomes creamier and softer. Both tea and lotus remain subtly perceptible in the background, and incense doesn't even develop in the base for me. The scent stays pleasantly creamy and close to the skin.
Now I wonder how pure Boronia smells? Allegedly, the scent is intoxicating and quite sweet, but this perfume is not. Unfortunately, I couldn't find out if Boronia has a rose-like scent.
Mandy Aftel creates nature-based fragrances that don't necessarily appeal to the average taste. Many hold the view that natural scents don't last long, but I can't necessarily confirm this in the case of the Aftelier fragrances I have tested so far. Amber lasted excellently, Trévert was average, and Lumiere holds quite well on my skin. But the best way to test it is to try it yourself.

Hi Ergo, phenylethyl acetate is a fragrance that smells like rose and honey. It can be produced synthetically. However, since Aftelier prides itself on being natural, they probably have a raw material that is extracted from yeast.
