The First Fragrance...

Yesterday, I bought my daughter her first perfume... I resisted for a long time, but what can I say when I have so many myself? Better to have her own so she doesn't always use mine. And as an Elsa fan, she ended up in a large perfume department with this bottle while sniffing around. Marketing works incredibly well on children, just to say that!

Also, I'm writing my first comment here; I hope this won't be seen as a measure of my taste, but we all started with such fragrances at some point. I can still remember my first My Melody scent well, but that's another story. Now, onto Elsa...

Bottle
Round bottle with light blue perfume (no mom, that's Elsa-colored) and a pink glittering crown on top, a dream for little girls' hearts...

Scent
For "Frozen" or Ice Princess, if I were a perfumer, I would have created a somehow fresher, cooler scent. This one is rather sweet and fruity. Girls at this age (my daughter is almost six) naturally prefer that, especially if it reminds them of their favorite chewing gum.
It's not that bad of a scent, as some Escada Summer Editions probably smelled quite similar.
At first, you can actually smell a hint of orange and mandarin, then there's a bit of apple, but what remains doesn't have much freshness to it. In fact, the chocolate comes through well, along with vanilla and a sweet fruit, could be peach. I find the musk and sandalwood content not very suitable for the target group of little girls, and thankfully, I couldn't perceive coriander and moss.

Sillage and longevity are rather low, but the whole kindergarten shouldn't be overwhelmed by the scent, especially since my daughter sprays it quite generously :-). Now all her dolls smell very fruity-sweet... I just hope there are no allergenic ingredients in it, but at this price, you can't expect high-quality real essential oils :-)

Conclusion: I've smelled much worse, and my daughter enjoys it, so what the heck...
