When you hear the name Saffron, the first thing that comes to mind is a scent that primarily has to do with it... However, in my opinion, the perfume has absolutely nothing to do with saffron.
This was also confirmed by the only YouTuber who reviewed it.
Most rose/oud fragrances are very similar, or you think to yourself
"Smelled this dozens of times already."
Here, however, it's something new.
As mentioned in the title, it's more of a Tom Ford Oud Wood alternative with rose & amber and a subtle animalic note. It sounds strange at first, but I was pleasantly surprised that it works so well.
The oud doesn’t smell fecal, but it will probably be difficult for beginners.
Otherwise, there’s not much to say about the Saffron, as it doesn’t change at all and follows a straight line.
I had to think for a moment about where I recognize certain nuances from, and then I remembered Bortnikoff's Oud Maximus, which for me smelled very unpleasantly like stinky cheese; here, however, the parallels are absolutely pleasant and well-executed.
The bottle and the craftsmanship with the sprayer are made to a very high standard, including the packaging. For me, this is once again proof that you can get high-quality fragrances at reasonable prices.
Once again, a typical blind buy that, thank goodness, was not a flop haha :))
