Chanel's Allure Pour Homme?
Still Life in Rio is warm and spicy, despite the opening citrus. I always loved the smell of chili peppers. DEFINITELY worth sampling. A new favorite. Reminds me of Chanel's Allure Pour Homme.

caipirinha in a bottle
Exotic and luminous, an infectious and fun fragrance that manages to capture the warmth and character of vibrant Rio perfectly.
The fragrance is bursting with zesty citruses elevated by mint and ginger. The warm heart is accentuated by a cocktail of pepper and the smooth, creaminess of coconut milk. Brazilian Copaiba balm adds body and depth, and a delicious rum accord carries the fragrance long into the night.
Performance is very good for a freshie, but projection is average

Active liveliness
The first thing you can perceive is an intense and strong citric note, which completely dispenses with its refreshingly acidic accents and I suspect the use of citronate lemon.

At the same time, the lemon is accompanied by a very viscous, citric-orange, slightly woody note, which in my opinion is responsible for the fact that the top note is given an unpleasantly crinkly substance and I thought it possible to use orange instead of yuzu in combination with ginger.

At the same time, these two notes are enveloped by a clean, refreshingly ethereal greenish note, which I think ensures that the top note receives something dull and at the same time supple and is due to mint - but it ultimately smells like a cheap WC - duck - stone.

A little later, the lemon is a little bit more dimmed and is enveloped by a fine, slightly watery, exotic, creamy, sweet, exotic, light jasmine nuance, which gives the fragrance a pleasant, soft liveliness and is due to the coconut water in combination with the pink pepper.

Somewhat in the background, a subtle sweetish aromatic, fiery nuance ensures that the fragrance has a wonderful active aura and comes from chilli.

In the last 3 hours, a very fine, almost fragile, sweet balsamic note is added in very delicate features, which carries a wonderful, cleanly sweet powdery aura and I did not come across Kopiava balsam.

At the same time, the copavai balsam is enveloped in a fine, very light leathery nuance, which gives the fragrance an incredibly silky fading elegance and is derived from leather.

Black pepper, tangerine and rum I could unfortunately not perceive, but I can very well imagine that these fragrances were used to complement each other.

In total the fragrance lasts 7 hours on my skin
In the first 30 minutes the Sillage is designed to have a very clearly perceptible full arm length and maintains a very good half arm length for 3 hours, before it is reduced in quiet steps until the fragrance has died down.

Warm, citrusy, sensual
Still life in Rio was my first niche fragrance. I was working in a fashion store during my studies and my boss liked the concept of the fragrances with the accompanying photos, so we had some olfactive studio fragrances in the store for a while. And I was immediately taken with Still Life in Rio. But it was too expensive for me at the time and I didn't know any other niche fragrances. And then at some point I received it as a gift and was so happy about it. I then wore it as a signature for some time.

About the fragrance:
For me, the fragrance is definitely very feminine. I find it somehow sensual, deep and warm. It really captures the mood of the picture with the sunset over Rio perfectly. Just like this deep, dark orange, that's how the fragrance smells. I don't find it light or cool and fresh, I don't get lemon. But tangerine, dark citrus, ginger, pepper, leather and rum. The scent is darkly citrusy, spicy, a little sharp and balsamic, warm. To be honest, for me the fragrance fits much better in the fall and winter than in the summer.
In summer it would be too heavy for me during the day, but in the evening it is very nice. It smells like coming into a warm bar in the evening during the cold season. The lights are dimmed, there's a citrusy cocktail in front of you and there are spices in the air. The wooden tables are dark brown, the armchairs are made of leather.

I now have fragrances that I wear much more often, but I still really like Still Life in Rio. I think it's a particularly beautiful citrus scent that you definitely don't smell on every corner and that also goes well in the cold season.

Pure summer!
Still Life in Rio is a fragrance that I got as a bottling in a perfumery in Frankfurt, tested once and bought immediately.

It is absolutely not a "freshie summer fragrance".
The opening is fresh, the mint is slightly perceptible, lemon is very present with a slight hint of coconut, which gives an idea of what is to follow.
The mint disappears very quickly for me, which I don't find negative, on the contrary.
In the drydown, the coconut aroma becomes much more noticeable, but the lemon is still in the foreground - and it stays that way! On my skin, the lemon is present for the entire duration of the fragrance, although it is in the top note here. It is a very natural, aromatic and ripe lemon, soft and without strong acidity. The fragrance as a whole remains relatively linear - it becomes a tad sweeter in the first few hours, but never overpowering or unpleasant because it is always carried with the fresh and light notes of lemon and coconut water. It has a slightly creamy, fresh sweetness that is incredibly charming - because it has a warm, spicy sweetness in the base, slightly intercepted by the rum!
For me, it is a truly unisex fragrance, mixed with the body odor, the fragrance can develop a masculine or feminine characteristic and simply let the wearer radiate summer.
The first time I wore it at work, I received the following compliment: "You smell good - like summer!"
And I feel the same way myself.

It lasts on my skin for more than 10 hours even in hot temperatures, over 30° and very humid! A fragrance that welcomes the heat.

A very, very good fragrance that I am absolutely thrilled with.
What's more, you can get the 100ml bottle for just over €100, I was lucky enough to buy it for €85 and it's more than worth it in my opinion.

If you haven't smelled it yet, just see where you can get it. Really a special perfume in my opinion.

Sweet, creamy, peppery, with a mix of exotic fruits. Perfectly represents that aspect of Rio captured in the pic which inspired the scent
