I have smelled the original Aventus on myself and on others, and here's my verdict: Al Haramain L'Aventure smells like if you were smelling Aventus on someone else as you're passing by them or talking to them at a polite distance versus smelling the OG directly on your skin/in your own scent bubble. The differences are subtle even up close, and for that reason I'd say this is a very solid interpretation. Also, it is a great perfume in its own right. I don't find it screechy in the opening at all and it's generally quite balanced and very pleasant to smell throughout its lifetime on the skin. In my opinion, it's totally got that "smoky birch" thing that some of these clones fail to replicate very well. I showed this one to a friend whose daily driver is Aventus and he could definitely tell the difference immediately, BUT he still said L'Aventure smelled very good. And at the end of the day, I always put smelling good before smelling identical to the OG when it comes to these Middle Eastern inspired fragrances.
Bonus points for the price point, bonus points for the presentation which I think is top-notch, and bonus points for Al Haramain's pressurized atomizer which blows most designer houses out of the water.
