CPO# 2 Rose, Tuberose, Hardcore Rose!

Perfume oils of this kind never stay with me for long, not because I don’t like them, but because I have many colleagues from Turkish/Arab countries. It’s not uncommon that when I wear a scent that is typical in those countries, it gets literally snatched from my hand with comments like: "This one is really good," or "It reminds me of the past," "What fragrance is this?" "I want it, how much does it cost?" Phew... When I say it’s a fragrance from Al Rehab directly from Saudi Arabia for about €5, sometimes I get a smile and sometimes a surprised look, it really depends on the age of the person in question :-)

Nevertheless, I usually sell the freshly opened roll-on directly and often just reorder.

The Arabisque is a full-blooded oriental fragrance straight out of a storybook. Honestly, I don’t understand the bad reviews. The aromatic spectacle that one can look forward to from this little bottle is enormous. It starts off admittedly quite piercing and chaotic, but what can you expect from a concentrated perfume oil? If everything were nice and harmonious from the start, it would be gone an hour later...

It begins very citrusy, with hints of spices, probably coriander seeds, but gradually the rose? Tuberose? Oh, whatever, comes strongly to the forefront. From the middle part, it strongly reminds me of Al Haramain Maze, but as it moves towards the base note, the Arabisque reveals more and more a resinous, bitter note, which contrasts with the rather feminine Maze, making it more wearable for men.

And here we are at the point where I must say that I prefer the Arabisque, the cheerful-fruity, rosy-freshness of the beginning, underlaid with the bitter amber-oud note. This is how the Arabisque unfolds over hours and I like it more and more with each passing hour.

For me, a clear recommendation if you wished for the Maze to be a bit more robust, or if you simply enjoy oriental rose fragrances!
