Sometimes I can really appreciate an obvious synthetic (chemistry :) ) in a fragrance - this perfume is such a case. I tested it several times and kept asking myself, "Do I really need this?", before I finally bought it. Why were there doubts? First, because of the mentioned synthetics. Second, because of the similarity of the scent to two others of its kind: Montale / Wild Pears and Nejma No. 4, and even a somewhat distant similarity to L'Artisan Parfumeur / Mon Numero 10. Yet the perfume still captivated me; it has a certain extra that the others mentioned do not have: it is more sparkling, has a dirty and a strong clean aspect (probably due to a lot of white musk); this scent sticks in the memory.
The longevity and sillage are very good. In my opinion, the fragrance is best suited for cold, frosty winter days - that’s when it can truly unleash its sparkle.
All in all, I have not regretted having it so far.
Nowadays, there is no perfume without synthetics, except maybe in the organic ones. Just take a look at the boxes of any fragrance; they only list a few ingredients. The listed ingredients are just a selection and/or suggestions of what kind of scent we might perceive.
