Some time ago, I ordered several samples from Alexandre.J blind, including Rose Alba. I tried it once back then and have been cherishing the rest from the sample vial to always have something to sniff.
As part of a discount promotion, a 100ml bottle was allowed to move in.
Here, the luxury begins: a salty box in a beautiful red, inside which is a - one must really say - treasure chest in that very color. When you open it, the enchanting and decadent bottle appears. Among all the fragrances I own, this is definitely the most beautiful packaging!
But now to the essentials:
For me, this scent is unique. It's as if you are lying amidst the most exquisite and intense roses. The first spray is, however, a bit fresher, with the plum coming through very clearly, and a bit of peach greets me as well.
After a few minutes, the rose joins in. And it stays. Long. LONG.
If I had to draw a picture for this scent, it would be a sun-drenched bedroom, with light pink bedding, a white four-poster bed, and a fluffy rug at the foot of the bed. Through a large window, you can see into a charming rose garden, where roses of all colors and sizes are growing.
The longevity is definitely above average; this afternoon I applied two sprays, once on my wrist and once on my neck, and even now, 9 hours and a shower later, Rose Alba can still be sensed.
For me, it is - kept discreetly - also an everyday scent, but due to the bombastic sillage and longevity, it can quickly become overwhelming.
A very elegant, soft, velvety fragrance.
