First of all, I want to say that I own many expensive niche fragrances, but also many dupes. Since I have experienced that some dupes actually smelled better than the originals, lasted longer, and of course were much cheaper, I knew I would keep giving dupes a chance. However, it should be mentioned that for me, the best clone houses are: The Dua Brand and Alexandria Fragrances.
So, I'll get straight to the scent:
I wasn't familiar with the original Spice & Wood by Creed; it was a blind buy from AF. Right from the first spray, I was in love and thought to myself, wow! It smells very balanced, pleasant, and still quite noticeable. I hadn't smelled a similar scent before.
I had to go to the city the very next day to try the original, and sure enough: at least 90% the same.
It was clear to me that for the extreme price difference, the Arabian Forest would win. Since I couldn't detect a significant difference in scent or longevity, it seemed too wasteful to spend so much money on the original. Maybe in the future.
To simply describe the scent, for me it is a blend of freshness (not aquatic, more green) and a hint of sweetness from the apple.
