A Relic from a Bygone Era

The company Alpa, a traditional manufacturer from the Czech Republic, offers a whole range of beautifully outdated aftershaves and colognes. The opportunity was ripe to use a trip to Prague as a starting point for a little time travel in terms of old man scents:

It's difficult to describe a fragrance for which there is no comparison; after application, a bitter sweetness spreads, no, a honeybee dipped in a powder box with floral advances indulges its musk fetish.

I am truly unfamiliar with such a composition. But not unappealing.
The downside is that the cologne has a certain longevity, I estimate about 4 hours, but it quickly becomes very close to the skin.

The Pomade Shop places the Chypre in the era of the 1920s or 1930s of the last century. Although I cannot verify this, it is certainly a long-forgotten type of fragrance.
A clear recommendation for the curious and nostalgic, available in CZ for about 40-50 K? on the bay it should be around 5-6€ plus shipping.

I give the Chypre 80% for its originality; I cannot fault it for the lack of sillage or longevity, as it is marketed only as a cologne. The 100ml glass bottle is appropriate for the time and the content, a thick standard glass bottle with a paper label, that's really all it needs...
