Reality Check and the Comparison to the Great Role Model in 2024

Endless Summer. Yes and no. It depends on how often you reapply.. ;)
Instant Summer? Absolutely! TL;DR: "Pareto Principle", it achieves even more than 80% of the results (imitating the scent DNA of Virgin Island Water) with ~20% effort (purchase price). An absolute no-brainer for the feeling of summer and vacation.

As can be inferred from the title of my review, I am conducting a reality check (as of 2024) and comparing it to the great role model: Virgin Island Water.

This scent DNA, which perfectly captures a vacation in the Caribbean, is wonderfully done and catapults you with every wear to white beaches, creamy coconut milk, zesty limes with rum and sugar, and a hint of floral notes.

The opening is slightly citrusy with the wonderfully juicy lime and develops creamy-sweet on my skin.

I occasionally wear it in the depths of winter, just to bring back that feeling and the emotions associated with this type of fragrance at the push of a button.

Creed were probably the first to have this idea and at times they managed to implement it well.

I therefore don't quite understand why Endless Summer is rated 0.4 points lower overall than the role model. Is it because it's a dupe? Does it work that way? I thought the fragrance itself should be evaluated here, and it differs marginally in direct comparison (I have been able to test several batches of VIW). So if it's purely about scent and longevity, I must admit that Endless Summer even has the edge.

Both "Malibù - Party In The Bay | Simone Andreoli" and Endless Summer last longer than the batches of VIW since 2019 with nearly identical scent.
(Malibu adds a slightly salty sea breeze, is a bit more "limey," and lasts significantly longer).

The reality is, as announced, that I bought Endless Summer for "economic reasons" (if that even makes sense when purchasing a luxury item :D) and it has easily pushed the great role model, "Virgin Island Water | Creed," off my wishlist for 2024.

Endless Summer is a great fragrance composition with nearly the same effect, progression, and longevity (or lack thereof) as Creed Virgin Island Water, but at a fraction of the price. This fragrance deserves much more recognition and attention than it currently receives... or maybe not, because that way it remains wonderfully affordable and also in my collection in the future ;-)

I love doing that too. Spraying Endless Summer in the middle of winter for a good mood and summer vibes :)

Yeah man, I totally agree with you! I know all three fragrances plus the Dua Caribbean Waters.
And they all have that amazing summer DNA, and in terms of price/quality, it beats the Endless Summer hands down!

Do you have any idea why that particular scent has a relatively mediocre rating on A...n? (About 3.7 or so.)

The review there has less to do with the scent and more with the fact that apparently half-full bottles are being shipped, etc. So it's more about unreliable sellers.

That could be true, I'll definitely reorder several bottles when this one is empty and maybe even stock up / macerate - this scent really has potential!

But here it’s 8 out of 10, over there it would be 4 out of 5 stars. What a discrepancy!?
I had it in my cart the other day too, but something made me hesitate. Maybe the extra shipping, hmm... 🤔

I suspect it's for the same reason that it's rated significantly lower here than the original 😇
