On days like this...

...a sample of this wonderful fragrance fluttered into my home.
You come just at the right time, I think, the weather is crap. My mood is as always, so not crap.

Even the citrus fruits in the opening have creamed them. Nothing sour and cold, as one sometimes has when the top note starts with citrus fruits.

I have to take the dog out. Now it’s snowing! Man, it’s March 18th.
I keep sniffing my arm. My dog is sniffing too, but not my arm. She’s reading the newspaper on the lawn. Now I’ve got it: Lemon Curd. This wonderful lemon cream that I sometimes make myself and that never makes it onto a roll because I usually spoon it straight from the jar. I always do this secretly so I don’t catch myself in the act.

I walk on and pass the wellness studio. They offer cosmetic treatments, pedicures, and massages. A sign hangs in the window: Appointments only by phone. Appointments for massages can also be booked online at www......de.
Ah, I think, I can get a massage online here!

Now it comes, the tuberose! I am enchanted and surprised. I have a love-hate relationship with tuberoses: Today, it loves me.

On the other side of the street, a fat bulldog is walking with an even fatter man on a leash. It’s true that dogs and their owners often look alike. The bulldog wants to race across the street like a steamroller to my Kemi. My dog stands there and says nothing, as usual. She has her tail curled up and is thinking her thoughts.

I press my wrist to my nose and let myself be unimpressed by the steamroller and the fat guy who is wrestling with his dog across the street.

Martin Rütter is right: “It’s never the dog’s fault!”
Amorvero is getting creamier! I’m falling in love with my arm!

I go to the baker, think of vanilla pastries, and order fresh rolls from today for tomorrow. They are cheaper then.

We stroll home. We have no time for haste.

Clara's aunt, haha, I got the idea with the rolls from Horst Evers, lol.

Does it work with the rolls? Great tip!
Horst Evers Award for the comment!
(I still refuse to say "review.")

Oh yes! And if the mood happens to be off for once - this scent will definitely make it right :) In any weather. Very nicely written, with a great closing line (why does my phone refuse to use three "s"?!).

Sounds lovely... I accompanied you - from a respectful distance - with Bruno and had a great time :D

Ah yes, that's a lovely scent that I can't live without anymore. I even spent 90 euros to get the Extrait, which I find even finer... we perfume lovers are a bit crazy, but that's nothing new. ;)

It seems like nothing can be done about it. It's exclusively available at the Hotel Hassler, nowhere else. However, you can go there and pick it up yourself. I called them once and asked how the €90 came about. He said it’s the entire shipping fee. They charge for packing, taking it to the post office, writing the invoice, etc., so it's the total order handling fee.

I bought my EDP and Extrait at ParfuMaria in the Netherlands. You could ask them if they'll restock it.

Maybe you should try calling Parfümerie Brückner in Munich at tel. They had Amorvero a few years ago; I even got to sample it.

Yeah, I dug through the website. 90 euros for shipping! They must be a bit out of touch. A package never costs that much in Europe. Not even when I send something to Tierra del Fuego.

Can you only get it directly from Hotel Hassler? They want 90 euros for shipping :-0, those Romans are crazy.

It's simply divine, even though it took me 2 years to fall in love with it overnight. I received it as a gift, and it doesn't fit my usual taste at all. But right now, I'm wearing it every day, and I'm slowly considering getting a second bottle.

That might appeal to me: creamy mandarins + tuberose. Adding to my wishlist.

*lol* Which animal suits you? I think I'm getting a little Labrador in June for a reason. He's also... um... strong *lol*

Wonderful, we don't have time for haste. I'm curious, even though the lovely tuberose is tricky for me too.

A really great scent with a statement. And a humorous comment to go with it. I can practically picture the scene ;-)
