Density has a name...
...namely Journey.
This summer of 2017 is something very special. Permanently hot temperatures and plenty of sunshine..
Vacation feeling without having to travel. Nice like that.
Even though the scent doesn't quite fit the current season, the name does, which is why I'm writing this comment.
Journey (in German "Reise") is opulent and reminiscent of distant lands. I think of deserts and heat; of humid, oppressive weather - desperately searching for shade; of the Orient; but also of relaxation and deep calm.
Interesting scents have come together here. Fruits, plants, and especially honey.
Sun-ripened apricots, nutmeg, and cardamom start joyfully. Subtle jasmine sambac and strong mimosa take over the role. Even though honey turns some off in fragrances, not in Journey.
The oppressive sweetness is skillfully tempered by the pipe tobacco.
The interplay of all the notes is harmonious, it smells dense and expensive.
Sweet and floral. With enormous longevity and sillage.
A reward for the senses.

For me, this would be a scent I'd test out in the evening. Back in 2015, when it was just as hot, I enthusiastically wore Oajan. That fits perfectly!
