Myths Man Amouage 2016

One of the most "challenging" from the previous (and best) era of the house, which I finally appreciated after a year and at least 10 testings, as a work of art. The opening is exclusively floral, with iris, reminding me the same iris that was used in black iris combined with piercing acidic chrysanthemum. During its middle phase, it is dominated by dry vetiver (slightly reminiscent of the vetiver of Gucci Guilty Absolute) with rose and rum which have been intergrated (as opposed to vetiver) at a very low intensity. However, in the drydown there is theplot twist, an 180° turn and it essentially becomes a different perfume, as it transforms its floral elements into ash and labdanum with a final base note of leather. That's exactly where you simply shout "Masterpiece!".
