Overrated for a reason
When speaking about Amouage, first fragrance that comes to your mind is Reflection Man, despite it not entirely fitting brand’s stereotype ( light scent with no balsamic or resinous notes). Often it’s the first one you get to know from that brand (same was with me). And it is for a reason. Its beauty is all within the development and light yet complicated character. IMO it’s nowhere near minimalistic or uncomplicated. Such perfumes are the ones that do not develop or have a simple scent profile, which reflection is definitely not!
Opening with a beautiful floral accord (I supouse it’s mainly jasmine, neroli and slight hint of creamy iris) accompanied by a fresh rosemary giving it a herbal touch. During first moments I can also smell little bit of some metallic floral accord similar to the one in H24 by Hermes. Then flowers except for neroli fade out a little and make room for that creamy and supreme sandalwood. It all happens smoothly and takes few hours to fully happen. The quality of used ingredients and the development of that fragrance is just amazing.
It’s really elegant yet versatile and suitable for various types of situations, although IMO it will work best with a white shirt during a spring day. Fitted in a transparent bottle with silver accents makes a great option for everyone searching elegant, quality light and spring/summer scent.
