Two (or even three) years ago, when I made a fragrance purchase at Breuninger, there was a sample of Sunshine included. It somehow ended up on my wrist and could only convince me moderately: thin almond sludge with some shallow floral nonsense and such.
Can such a dull, flat fragrance cost so much?!
That's the thing!
But something kept me from tossing the sample, because at some point during the process, I thought, hmm, but there’s something there, something that could be exciting...no idea what, but I’ll set it aside for later, for the "you’re wobbly, you have to give it your all next time if you want a photo" candidates.
There it stood. For a long time. A veeeeery long time. And could reflect on everything and reconsider its performance.
And yesterday, out of sheer lockdown boredom, it stumbled back onto my wrist.
I don’t want to ramble on - it knocked me out after a long journey!
Wow. What was going on back then, two (or even three) years ago?!
Can taste/sense of smell change so much?
Or has the fragrance simply matured, was it too fresh back then?
Did it need to settle into its little glass bottle first?
No idea. But: such beauty!!!
Sunbeams in a bottle, warm-vanilla, liqueur-like, a very light tobacco in a lady-like expression and so many layers of "I have no idea what it is but it smells great," perfectly balanced for me without becoming sweet or heavy, and, very importantly: nothing annoys!
It just smells incredibly beautiful of summer, sunshine, Ihaveaphotoforyou.
You can definitely applaud that.
I want it.
The end.
