Who smells so indescribably good here?
This was the question from the lady in the elevator as I was on my way to the pool. Her husband looked down sharply at the question. It wasn't him! What a foolish question when there are three people in the elevator,…or provocative? Similar or striking things have always happened to me when I wore Sunshine by Amouage. I still don't know exactly what it's due to. Speculations…?
Heat and body temperature probably play a significant role here, allowing the fragrance to bloom significantly. (Let's skip the choice of swim trunks!) An extremely sultry-warm straw bouquet opens the game. Warm, dry hay is lightly intertwined with dried lavender. Strongly interlaced with a liqueur-like orange note. Smooth and not exactly light. A balsamic-herbaceous clary sage rounds it off warmly and very skillfully, softened by an alcoholic-fresh juniper note. Ultimately, the scent sinks like a sunset into an infinitely long and warm note of dry-warm vanilla and spicy, soft-creamy tonka. God knows,…pretty alluring!
Conclusion
Blessed is the man who still has a bottle of Amouage-Sunshine. So much can be said already. Its prices are now skyrocketing, as it is no longer produced for a bottle. I was very lucky to still get a bottle of it. Even if it was just a partially used tester from the Canary Islands. After all…! Sunshine-Man by Amouage may well be the most expensive sunscreen in the world,..but it is worth every drop. Here, the sun was captured with all its power and glory. And who says that the sun is female? Maybe it is also male? Who knows…?!
When the heat comes, so does the longing. And this faster than expected! When the sea, the beach, or the pool calls you, Sunshine by Amouage will make everything more beautiful that is hardly more beautiful. Promised….!

I always get approached about my swim trunks in the elevator... ;-) Jokes aside, it's definitely a nice scent, but luckily it's not for me. So enjoy it (I would even if I liked it).

I felt a bit sorry for the husband... he didn't have much to say! 😂 With most of the older Amouage, there were rarely any off notes. But with the newer generation, I can imagine that happening more. There's a lot of synthetic stuff being used these days. Unfortunately! 😉

Your description sounds very tempting, but the combination of lavender with vanilla and tonka makes me hesitate. I picture Caron, and while I would have loved this scent, it ended up being the opposite for me in the long run. I recently tried Scotch Lavender, which unfortunately didn't last either. But sunshine and pool time can't be topped! Take care!
