Opus XII - Rose Incense Amouage 2019

for me, Opus XII - Rose Incense is one of the best Amouage releases of recent years. A fragrance of contrasts: mystical and calming, dark and light at the same time.

It starts with a juicy rose, soft in character and intense at the same time. Not the way I imagine rose in (Arabic) fragrances. This rose is realistic and tangible, close at hand. Green, herbal and natural. Simply bombingly good: otherwise I don't like rose in fragrances very much. The rose water fades slowly, but only disappears after many hours. It leaves the foreground to a fantastic incense note. The incense is bright and unburnt. Like the unburnt and fresh resin, complemented by sweet myrrh, vanilla and elemi. The depth of Opus XII - Rose Incense is impressive, creating an impression of mysticism and complexity. At the same time, all the ingredients have a high-quality effect and are calming and meditative in themselves.

Compliments? Not a single one. The performance is really great, the longevity and radiance are worthy of Amouage. However, everyone who received Opus XII - Rose Incense for testing was simply thrilled. This Amouage does not offend, is very pleasing and harmonious without being boring. Really rare for me: Truly unisex without being unsexy. A fragrance to go out in, to wear for yourself or to please others.
