Unnecessary or a Standalone Statement Fragrance?
To get straight to the point, I am really positively surprised by Mada!
About the scent progression:
In the opening, Mada starts off very leathery and dark with a slight synthetic saffron note. Quickly, a pleasantly sweet raspberry note joins in, which, in my opinion, merges in perfect harmony with the dark leatheriness, balancing and complementing it. I also get the association of a slightly fermented raspberry, as described by other users in their statements. As it develops, the leather remains very present, and I occasionally get pleasant nuances of light flowers and an oriental spice. Especially at this point, the typical Anfas scent character comes to the fore for me. Towards the end, the fragrance dries down beautifully, leaving a lightly ambered creaminess with pleasant patchouli.
On my skin, Mada has a really great, balanced progression, contains the typical Anfas DNA, and is well described by the listed fragrance notes.
Longevity and Sillage:
The longevity is thoroughly convincing; Anfas fragrances generally last really well on me, and this one is no exception. The scent definitely accompanies you throughout a complete day.
I find the sillage to be extremely strong! Even my Mada decant managed to fill my perfume cabinet so much that I still get a cloud when opening the cabinet door three days later.
Mada definitely ranks high in terms of longevity and sillage and does not need to hide; this fragrance certainly does not want to.
Quality and Bottle:
As expected from Anfas, it is top-notch! The high-quality packaging and the hand-painted, thus individual bottle speak for themselves. Only the sprayer may not suit everyone's taste. The spray amount is decent, but you don't get an overly opulent spray mist.
When and Who Should Wear Mada:
I see this new release from Anfas especially on people with a confident presence who have a certain charisma. Someone who enters the room and is noticed (not just because of their perfume). At the same time, they do not aim to get along with everyone super clearly and have no problem standing out a bit. It is for all those who want to make a statement and can also substantiate that character-wise.
In my opinion, it is particularly well suited for rainy, gloomy autumn days or cooler, overcast spring days.
Now to the question that many are probably asking:
Is Mada an actually unnecessary release or a successful, standalone statement fragrance with a right to exist?
For me, it is definitely the latter; of course, the scent direction and the combination of the used fragrance notes are nothing new on paper, but it still managed to convince me! I find it distinct enough even in direct comparison to its competitors, so a truly successful release!

I would consider Mada as a more manly scent, furthermore I prefer this type of smell on a man. There might be a few women that can pull off this scent!
