Gray-Green June Rain and Piano Thunder

In June, there are sometimes - too often, some might say - a few days of so-called 'bad weather'. If it has been early summer warm at the beginning of the month, it noticeably cools down again - and often it rains for several days in a row. These days are also called 'sheep cold'.

I like this time. There is a unique beauty in its gray-green shroud and almost melancholic introspection and silence. And I find it wonderful to watch the warm rain in the afternoons with open windows while listening to piano music - the very special mood of these days only exists during these June weeks.

This very special atmosphere - the mix of serious introspection and quiet cheerfulness, along with the unmistakable aroma of linden blossoms - I found in Angana's Fleur de Tilleul, a - unjustly - widely unknown fragrance. Angana is a manufacturer of natural cosmetics - the products can be examined offline, among other places, at Grüne Erde (where I occasionally like to stroll through but almost never buy anything). The expectation for natural cosmetic fragrances is usually 'subtle' and 'unobtrusive' - and yes, one can certainly say that about Fleur de Tilleul. And yet, after the first attempt on the paper strip, I went back to wear it on my skin for a few hours - and there is much quiet poetry in this muted soft green linden blossom scent. As if one were sitting on an afternoon with a cup of herbal tea at an open window, gazing into nowhere while also watching the rain - while from the depths of the room, Rachmaninoff's piano thunder crashes through the window into the damp air outside.

Conclusion: quiet poetry in an unexpected place. Even for the perhaps skeptical perfume aficionado, it is worth a kindly unbiased nose.

oooh, this is the gentle and warm country rain of my childhood that I've longed for all my life... great for the complexion, and so full of poetry... Chopin fits perfectly with it!

Beautifully described. I don't remember the last time I wanted to order something so much. But the low longevity...
But trophy!
