Citrusy and cheerful, Angel's Love. The glory and misery of perfume collecting
When you uncork this top-notch bottle, you encounter an astonishingly fresh citrus opening. It clearly heads in the direction of lime (or a slightly mandarinized and grapefruit-infused lemon), which is already great.
Beneath that, my olfactory apparatus initially suspects a floral mid-sweetness with fluffy musk. Then, after about 30 minutes, right in the heart note territory, it believes it can faintly perceive a few limp kitchen herbs (chamomile, thyme...?) as well as delicate notes of Hipp carrot puree (could also be a carrot-pumpkin-pear porridge...) whispering. Unfortunately, the initially surprisingly beautiful lime vibe now transforms into a diffuse industrial citrus accord.
I have no idea if all this was filled into the mini I have in front of me about 20 years ago. Angel's Love is a fragrance that appears pyramid-less on Parfumo, equally slimy and naked-snail-like, and is unspoken. This makes commenting difficult, but also free.

By the way, the love of angels is not enduring. Anyone looking for a fragrance for long-lasting dates or all-night loving sessions should not reach for Angel's Love. The projection is also quite moderate. The recipients of the fragrance need to get quite close to someone dusted with it to catch a bit of this light refreshment.

As for the angelic talk - despite Morgenstern's poem 'Scholastic Problems' - it is a false claim, invented by humanists (first mentioned in the pseudo-Master Eckhart's treatise 'Sister Katrei' in the 14th century), in a polemical intent, that medieval scholastics eagerly debated how many angels could fit on the head of a pin.
As a modern thinker, I am less interested in that; however, as a Parfumo pioneer and first climber of this (at least in flaconological terms) top fragrance, we must ponder the question: How do angels and their secrets smell? We want to bear witness to that here - and to some circumstances of the encounter with this rarity.

Collecting perfumes, the curiosity for constantly different scents leads, after a certain tipping point, to strange excesses. If one is interested in Spanish niche fragrances of older vintages, one can hardly avoid the absurdly packaged, gigantic liter bottles (Varon Dandy; Puig's Agua Lavanda; Heno de Pravia from Perfumaía Gal).
Once you start hunting for extinct treasures of the last millennium - and also hoarding large bottles that would suffice for the next 3 generations of well-scented descendants, you eventually fall into the brilliant idea of bidding on collections of old miniatures on eBay. Because many fragrances are no longer available new. As standard bottles, they are untraceable online - or unaffordable.

However, there are bundles of 10 or 199 perfume miniatures, whose collecting has apparently been a widespread hobby since the 1970s. This old hobby likely included admiring the scents in their cute little bottles, but not using them. Exactly this bad habit now prepares the territory for Parfumo's hunting desire, for the glory and misery of small game hunting for vintage trophies. Every sentimental Parfumo creature its retro pleasure...
However, when hunting small game with a dragnet, one naturally also catches bycatch alongside the coveted classics. Adventure! Sometimes a bycatch reveals itself to be finer and more beautiful than the targeted noble fish of the big brands. To the hunting luck of discovering rare vintage treasures, the serendipity of a chance catch that grows dear to one's heart is added. Or the curiosities that one gladly presents to fellow perfume lovers as such.

And every time when opening the arrived fragrant little seniors, the cardinal question stands, breathtakingly exciting, in the nasal space: Tipped, cracked, or intact?? The spectrum ranges from a slightly dull crack or failure in the top note, through delicate cognac or sherry notes in the heart area, to full-fat Maggi explosion. Thus, one's own nose also becomes a specialist in the aging processes of fragrances. My interim assessment is: Freshies, aquatics, and fragrances with ingredients from the mid-1990s (especially those Morillas waters in the CK-One direction) tend to fade more quickly than robust chypres, 80s powerhouses, or powerful oriental blends.
(It would be interesting if similarly inclined hunting companions could confirm or dispute this diagnosis. No hunter's yarn!).

Back to the angelic analysis, to the final aesthetic (erotic?) judgment on Angel's Love. The bottle with a sweet little cloud, tapering to a point (how many angel drops fit on such a blunt tip, one wonders...) is a feast for the eyes. However, I have difficulties with pink, which is strictly to be avoided in Parfumo collections as a miscolor...
- Are there perhaps Parfumos here who could recommend a mini bottle-specific painting service that could repaint the cap in a spring-fresh green or an infinitely elegant armani-like greige?

With every genitive, the central, sometimes embarrassing question arises: What kind of one are you? Are we dealing with a Genitivus objectivus or subjectivus with Angel's Love? (We will not address the Genitivus partitivus in light of this little fragrance from Angelitos yet - it will be treated later in a module on subsets of love fragrances in advanced studies).
So is it the scent of loving angels (when angels make love...)? Or the scent of love for angels? Since my inclinations & desires are rather humanoid, I perceive this Angelitos product not as objectivus but as subjectivus and translate: THIS is how the love of angels smells. THIS is how angels scent when loving.

By the way, from the house of Angelitos, which dedicates its creations entirely to the emanations of God's messengers (which is what 'angels' means etymologically: For Greek ángelos (ἄγγελος) 'messenger, message', there is a suspected oriental origin referring to Greek ángaros (ἄγγαρος) 'mounted Persian courier'. See: https://www.dwds.de/wb/Engel. It should be made clear that this fragrance is NOT oriental and does not contain oud; this much is certain amidst all other doubts!), uh, where were we... exactly: there are 4 other fragrances from Angelitos on aspects of angelic scenting: The Breath of Angels, The Breath of Angels just for Men, the Breath of Angels Gold, and also in Platinum.
Since there are no Parfumo entries for these yet and these angelic breath fragrances from Angelitos have not yet made it online, I kindly request co-reports from similarly inclined Parfumos on these breath fragrances (with breath gold fans leading the way!), which are currently considered unresolved - but under suspicion of flankers.

To give those here at Parfumo who have not yet had this fragrance under their noses a comparison and a rough direction, I would like to refer to the finely citrusy Tweety from Zara. Angel's Love could be the vintage cousin of this children's freshness. One wonders whether Zara's Tweety will still smell this fresh in 20 years and will emerge gracefully from its funny bottle. Moreover, the old angelic love with its lime opening is just a touch more elegant; however, it has a slightly mustier finish.
