Coffee and TV?
Anna Zworykina can do something, that much is certain. Angua has thankfully already written many great comments about the Russian perfumer, and finally, I get to write a SECOND comment about one of the less represented natural perfumes here. With a few exceptions, I can join in on the praise. This brand truly has candidates for purchase popping up.
For me, C&C is primarily a dreamy cocoa scent with a cozy character. Right off the bat: I also find hardly any coffee here. However, I also find hardly any orange ;)
The scent starts darkly dry, slightly wintry-spicy, and minimally floral. Cointreau swings in as a tipsy orange with a briefly bitter pepperiness. The fragrance is dense and clearly reminds me of the Neuffers - Angua's mention of "Stardust" doesn't surprise me at all. I swapped its sample with Jumi last year, so I dare not submit it as a scent twin, but according to notes and memory, wonderfully similar strings resonate here. A hint of fruity depth - which, as I said, I cannot clearly attribute to orange, but may also come from the patchouli - on a slightly smoky roasted flame. After one to two hours, the patch clearly wafts to the surface but keeps dipping back down. I'm fine with that, as the earthy nuances remain subtle and rare. As a fleetingly woven fixative, I like it in its role. Later, C&C even conjures caramel notes into the drink.
Coffee and Chocolate successfully avoids all the scent pitfalls of my cocoa perfume aversions. It remains dark enough. It never becomes too sweet and is still consistently delicious. And that lasts until the cuddly finish, about half a day later, close to the skin.
Coffee & TV is one of my favorite songs by Blur. In the accompanying music video, a milk carton finds its way to heaven as an escape from a messed-up life. What is different from the scent?
1) Milk didn't come in
2) Coffee didn't really come in either

If it doesn't get too sweet and sticky, I like chocolate in fragrances. Coffee is a must, but it seems like they skimped on that, what a shame...

It would be worth a try if it really isn't that gourmand, because I don't like chocolate in fragrances at all.
