Acqua di Giappone
Kimitsu for Him is lemony-sweet, fresh, and spicy-aromatic. It spontaneously reminds me of Acqua di Parma Colonia. Like that one, Kimitsu presents itself as distinguished and elegant, not loud or brash. It is therefore more of a fragrance for the more reserved personality. However, I have not tested the two in parallel. I write about AdP Colonia from memory; it might also be the Essenza or Assoluta variant that comes to mind as a reference.
Although labeled as a men's fragrance, Kimitsu for Him can also be worn well by women. In my estimation, it is a unisex fragrance.
Kimitsu is not a specific summer scent despite the lemony note. The sweet spice gives it warmth. One can wear it year-round; however, it is probably better suited for daytime than evening. Kimitsu would likely fit best in spring.
Significantly cheaper than the product from the Italian niche house, regardless of the variant, the Japanese fragrance is; around half the price of the turquoise ones. I estimate the longevity and sillage as medium; so there is no difference here compared to AdP.
Well and affordably copied, Annayaké!
