Spicy Oriental
Recently, when I took the shared taxi to the public restroom, I found an autograph card from Matt Damon.
That doesn’t say anything about the scent. Just that the bottle is red.
Matsuri starts off strong with a good amount of spice in the top note. I’m guessing it’s clove.
The other flowers are crushed under the weight of the entire fruit basket and are not recognizable to my nose.
If you try hard, maybe you can detect a hint of jasmine. This gives the scent a note that is somewhat reminiscent of Jasmin Noir by Bvlgari.
I can clearly identify a pear note, which lasts relatively long.
Matsuri is a fragrance that becomes a bit too lush for me over time, but it does radiate a certain festive quality in its own way.
The woods in the base hold back; throughout the entire scent development, it remains more of a lush little fruit with a slight spiciness.

I smelled it at my girlfriend's place in Paris and I'm quite taken with it, a lovely scent, deliciously rich, BUT unfortunately only available in the large bottle, which I don't like! (I'm already looking forward to your sample, it's in there too!)
