Friends
we will definitely be. During my tour to fill up on "mainstreamers" that I like to enjoy from time to time, and to have a chat with my favorite saleswoman in this store (she really knows her stuff), I passed by the shelf with the new arrivals as usual. In the corner, almost hidden, I found Tomo Vetiver, which I had already read about and sounded very interesting. So, first on the test strip, and I liked it very much right away, which doesn't happen that often. So, I went for a skin test, and here too, the first impression was very positive. After an hour in the store and a coffee with the saleswoman, it was clear to me: Tomo Vetiver can move in with me.
The start is fresh, cheerful, and I would almost say slightly playful. The bergamot predominates, grapefruit is slightly in the background, everything is very harmonious and not overloaded. As it develops, a light leather scent joins in, while I don't really perceive rhubarb. After a while, bergamot, leather, and grapefruit take a back seat, making way for a delicate musk and the vetiver. Here too, the notes are very harmonious and still feel fresh.
All in all, I find Tomo Vetiver to be a very rounded, fresh, and harmonious scent that can definitely be unisex.
The longevity is good; after 6 hours, I can still clearly perceive it, and after 8 hours, at least still close to the skin. The sillage is definitely okay, although perhaps not particularly above average.
My conclusion: Tomo Vetiver is a very pleasant, fresh scent that comes across as very harmonious and well-rounded. It is not loud and doesn't want to be. Its strength lies in its subtle freshness. As a spring and summer fragrance, it is surely brilliant, but definitely a scent for the whole year that can become a daily companion.
Fun fact on the side: I was directly approached about this scent.
Tomo Vetiver and I are already friends and will remain so. The name says it all.
